The Subway Get Fit Challenge is focused on motivating participants to create and maintain healthy living goals that will last a lifetime.  The challengers will receive nutritional guidance from Emory Healthcare and fitness training from The Forum Athletic Club.

Throughout the year, you can watch their progress on WSB-TV, every Tuesday and Thursday during the 5pm News and every Sunday during the 12 noon news.

With the warm summer weather upon us, I naturally think of the importance of hydration in maintaining health and vitality.  Water has often been called the elixir of life.  It is of utter importance always, but even more so if we are exercising, working outdoors, eating salty foods, taking medications and drinking caffinated or alcoholic beverages as water plays a vital role in moving toxins out of our bodies.  Our bodies are made of almost 70% water.  We can survive for many days without food but only a few days without water.

No matter what type of workout regiment you have, taking care of your muscles and bones should be top priority.  Operation Boot Camp teaches campers how to take care of their bodies in many different ways.
